Follow these steps to get the information you need from your insurance company!
Step 1:
Contact your insurance company.
You can find the member services phone number on the back of your insurance card.
Step 2:
Find out if you have out-of-network benefits.
Ask the representative : "Does my insurance plan cover services provided by a career counselor?"
Step 3:
Check if you have a deductible before coverage begins.
Ask the representative: "Do I have a deductible for services provided by a career counselor? If so, what is the remaining amount I will need to pay?"
Step 4:
Determine how much your plan reimburses you.
Ask the representative : "What is the maximum amount my insurance plan will reimburse for career counseling services?" or "What is the maximum allowable amount for career counseling services?" or "What percentage of the maximum amount is reimbursed for career counseling services?"
